Independence Day Celebrations 2023

Hindustan International School, Padur, marked the occasion of Independence Day on 15th of August with a vibrant program that commenced at 8:30 am. Brigadier M Sri Kumar, retired Army Officer, was the Chief guest for the event. The programme started with a march past by our students. Subsequent to the parade, our Chief guest unfurled the National flag, which was followed by the recitation of the Pledge and rendition of the National Anthem. He delivered an impactful speech, highlighting the pivotal role of children as the future of our nation. He emphasized their responsibility in shaping our country’s destiny through their actions and encouraged them to take pride in their contributions. The event continued with the presentation of certificates to the winners of the inter-house competitions, fostering a sense of healthy competition and achievement within our school community.
A variety of inter-house competitions were orchestrated with the dual aim of fostering mutual respect among students and igniting their active involvement within their respective houses as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
For grades 1 and 2, an engaging fancy-dress competition was organized. This event allowed young participants to eloquently express themselves in delightful costumes that embodied the personas of esteemed freedom fighters.
An inter-house quiz contest was held for Grades 3 to 5. It helped to evaluate participants’ knowledge, encompassing both in their academic subjects and areas beyond the curriculum.
A melodious singing competition dedicated to the national anthem was held for students of grades 6 to 8. A remarkable achievement was secured by the Mahatma Gandhi house, clinching victory by delivering the National Anthem in an impressive 53 seconds.
The arena of debating was unveiled for students from grades 9 to 12. This intellectual contest was designed to cultivate effective critical thinking and analytical prowess, particularly concerning significant issues pertinent to the assigned topic.
